The QUICKEST Way to Heal Diabetes

When I was practicing in traditional medicine, I learned a TON about diabetes, but mostly about what new drugs we could use to help control someone's symptoms.  Very little attention was placed on prevention, healing pre-diabetes, and nutrition.  Once I transitioned into functional medicine, I re-learned the deep physiology of blood sugar balance, exactly what was happening to each individual cell and how I could powerfully make certain tweaks and voila!!  Diabetes diagnoses were not only improving, but disappearing!!  

My mother was told that all of her labs were "normal" when she had her routine screening and I was surprised to see that her labs showed several markers of pre-diabetes.  I've now seen numerous patients who have these very clear markers who are told that their labs were "normal."  Really??!!!  What is the doctor waiting for?  Sadly...I know.  They are waiting for her to actually GET diabetes, to meet the criteria to then be prescribed a medication.  It made me SOO sad because I know at the heart, the doctor doesn't mean any harm, but hasn't pursued enough training to know what to do about pre-diabetes.  I know I certainly wish I had known better before my aunt passed away from diabetic complications!!

Do YOU have pre-diabetes?  Do you even know? Now, back to how to HEAL diabetes and pre-diabetes quickly.  Please be careful if you are on diabetic medications and make sure you are testing your blood sugars because this ONE thing will drop your sugars and start to reset your insulin sensitivity, decrease inflammation, and start the healing process.  Wanna know what it is??  Here it is...CUT THE CARBS!!

One of the most erroneous things I've heard in practice is that we NEED the carbohydrates.  I see diabetic patients being told by diabetic nutritionists and educators to eat a certain amount of carbs...and then balance the rise in sugar with a certain amount of insulin or medication.  Really??!!  How about cut the sugar and carbs and then ELIMINATE the need for the extra insulin and medication!!

Here's the 911 about carbs.  Yes, your body does use glucose for energy.  However, the body is VERY good at what it does.  It can skillfully convert healthy fats and even protein into what it needs.  Plus, you can get ALL the carbs you would ever need through healthy, leafy green and cruciferous vegetables.   Adding these in will also start to function as detoxification and "scrubby bubbles" for your arteries and brains and organs.
